I usually choose much larger daisies, but I thought that the coloring of this daisy was particularly striking.

Another Gerbera Daisy Daisies are plentiful this time of year, and I love to photograph them.  It's difficult to take a bad image of a daisy, after all.  Anyway, I just added two photos of the same Gerbera Daisy to my flowers page because I just couldn't decide which one I liked best.  One example is on the right.  To see both images, just click on the daisy.

The Gerbera Daisy The Gerbera Daisy has got to be the easiest flower to photograph. The large petals and the central disk florets differ in all the variations, but all are quite beautiful.  This is my latest Gerbera Daisy photo.

The Osteospermum I found some osteospermum flowers on my walk yesterday.  I tried to photograph and process them a little differently from my usual process.  Here are two examples.  I'm not sure if I like them.  The first one has a gradient background, and the second one has a painterly background.  Click on the image to see both versions.

White Ranunculus I have discovered the beauty of the Ranunculus flower.  I have previously added a red, yellow and a pink ranunculus to my collection. The latest addition is a white Ranunculus.  I'm hoping to get some more blooms from the plants I bought, so I can practice taking more photos.

The Ranunculus Flower I found some Ranunculus plants at Home Depot, and since I had never photographed them before, I bought a few to experiment with.  This is a picture of a pink one.  I also photographed a red and yellow flower.  They almost look like roses when they are in full bloom.

Yellow Chrysanthemum for New Year With an auspicious meaning for Chinese New Year, the Chrysanthemum symbolises perfection, optimism and joy. This is one of the photos that I took. It was focus stacked with 25 images in Helicon Focus and enhanced with Topaz Glow at a very low opacity.

Pink Transvaal Daisy I haven't done much photography during the holiday season, but I was given some daisies as a gift and this is one of them.  I love daisies and the color pink so I am naturally drawn to them.  In addition, there doesn't seem to be too much variety of flowers to choose from during the winter months.

Pink Gerbera Daisy I took two photos of this daisy and processed them differently.  I tried to leave one as natural as possible, but I wanted a more artistic look for the other version. Both were focused stacked with Helicon Focus.  I have the artistic version to the right of this post. If you click on it, you'll see version 2, which I think looks more natural.

Pink Victory Rose I found this little rose plant at the grocery store.  The tag on it said it was a Victory Rose. I looked it up and found that the Victory rose is a hybrid tea rose that blooms continuously all summer with big, double, perfectly-formed blooms with a wonderful fragrance.

Chrysanthemum for Fall Chrysanthemums always remind me of Fall.  I found an orange and yellow bunch of mums yesterday at Trader Joe's, and couldn't resist adding them next to my front door as a reminder of the season.

Rudbeckia (Black-eyed Susan) I'm always trying to find flowers that I haven't photographed before, so I bought a potted Rudbeckia yesterday.  It is commonly known as a Black-eyed Susan and is the Maryland state flower.  Anyway, I love the gold petals and the dark center. If you click on the image or "Read the Full Post", you can see a closer photo of the seed head.

Pink Chrysanthemum I purchased a bunch of chrysanthemums recently and this is an example taken with my macro lens and stacked with 14 images in Helicon Focus.  I also used Topaz Impression at a low opacity.

Orange Fire Lily I took a photo of a Fire Lily on a white background with no post processing, except for focus stacking.  It was a stacked with 26 images in Helicon Focus. I then decided to add a gradient background.  Although I like both, I think I like the gradient best. Here is the photo with the gradient, and if you click on it, you'll see both images.

The Beautiful Dahlia I love Dahlias!  They are so beautiful with their great diversity of blooms. Also, it's hard to take a bad photograph of a Dahlia. This one was processed with a minimal amount of Topaz Glow. I also used Helicon Focus to combine 42 images into one so that I could get as sharp an image as possible.

Orange Rose I bought this rose at Trader Joe's in a bouquet of eight yesterday.  They had so many different colors and all for $3.99.  I also got a pink one.  It's hard to pick with so many to choose from. I took this photo with my SonyA7RII and processed it with a minimal amount of Topaz Impression to give it some texture, although very faint.  I like my flowers to look somewhat realistic and not over-processed.

Pink Daisy I'm trying the "painterly effect" with this pink daisy with the petals in softer focus. I used Topaz Impression to give it an ethereal or delicate look.

Golden Sunflower I found some gorgeous Sunflowers yesterday that I couldn't resist.  This variety of sunflower is called "ProCut Gold Sunflower" due primarily to its deep  golden petals. I've posted a couple pictures, which you can see by clicking on the photo on the right or by clicking on "Read the Full Post".

Multi-Colored Dahlia I found another Dahlia at Trader Joe's yesterday.  I think that they are one of the most beautiful flowers because of their vibrant colors.  I used just a small amount of Topaz Glow in post processing.
