You don't have to feel guilty about drinking your coffee anymore. Research indicates that one to three cups of coffee daily can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, liver and colon cancer and gallstones. Something in coffee seems to help insulin do it's job, too. Women who drank three to four cups a day had a lower risk of diabetes. I also read that coffee is an excellent pre-workout beverage. Caffeine blocks adenosine, which is a chemical linked to inflammation, so your muscle soreness is reduced after working out.
